Sunday mornings in a town or a village is always again my favorit time of the week. It´s such a special atmosphere, completely different to the other days. Here on the country even saturday is a busy day, lawns were mown and the pedestrian ways cleaned, windows wiped and also the cars. But on a sunday morning there is a wonderful silence everywhere, seldom you will met a person but if so, everyone is smiling and greeting you, old couples are sitting quietly on benches at their homes (that´s a Bavarian habit to have a bench closed by the house, where you could sit and enjoy the garden, the working day evening, and above all see every one who is passing by your home for a few words and all the news in your village), some cats are lying in the sun on the pavement and a wonderful smell of sunday roasts are tickling you nose when passing by open kitchen windows.
Back home we had breakfast, in the early morning a single cup of coffe is enough, but after a walk we always love to have a big breakfast with eggs and tomatoes fresh from the garden. (Although I have to confess that a sunday roast would be perfect for a late breakfast, too.) We will be outside in the garden soon for a quiet afternoon with some reading and some crochet.
