Since a while I am collecting Cath Kidston fabrics. Everywhere, where I can get just half a meter for a good price, I have to have it. So my collection was growing and growing, I was dreaming about all the possibilities where to use them, new living room curtains, a lot of cushions, a chair cover, new bags - but sadly at the end I never dared to cut into them. I always feared to choose the wrong design - maybe a much more better one is waiting just around the corner, or above all I feared to make crooked seams and such things and destroy everything. But when I saw that such a lot of you are in a spring-summer sewing mood now and which lovely things you are sewing, I decided to jump into it, get out my scissors and start.
I´ve started with 2 small curtains for our bathroom. Nothing thrilling, just two tiny rectangles, very easy and simple and managable, to get into the rhythm so to say. The small red ruffle was a must, I like those playful things, and I think I will also make a red tie-top, too, very soon.
