Man beschließe, da die passenden Stoffe fehlen, ein Patchwork Kissen zu stricken. Zeichne einen Plan, stricke die einzelnen Teile.....For not having the right fabrics, decide to knit a patchwork cushion. Make a sketch, start to knit the single pieces.....
...und nähe ein paar davon schon mal zusammen.
...and sew some of them together so far.
Dann alle waschen und bügeln....
After this wash and iron all of them...
....und ein bißchen besticken,....
...embroider a bit,...
...weitere "patches" mit der Hand zusammennähen,....
...sew now all left single "patches" together by hand....
...dann den Rücken- und das Vorderteil mit der Maschine,......
...and the front and back by the machine,...
....ein paar Knöpfe aussuchen und befestigen, und Voilà, schon ist es fertig:
...choose some buttons and fix them, and Voilá, it´s finished:

...und von hinten! / ...and the back!
Es war ein weiter Weg bis hierher, aber er hat sich gelohnt. Ich hab ein bißchen neue/alte Techniken geübt, und vor allem die Stickerei hat mir Spaß gemacht. Es hat länger gedauert als ich dachte, aber ich hab wieder einiges dazugelernt und es ist spannend rumzuprobieren. Und es paßt farblich perfekt zu meinem Sommer.
It was a long way up to here, but it was worth it. I practised a bit new/old techniques and I loved to do the embroidery. All took longer than planned, but I learned some things again and it´s thrilling to try just for fun. And the colours are matching perfectly into my summer.

Das ist aber toll geworden!!! Die Farben passen so wunderschoen zusammen, dazu noch die Stickerei und die Knoepfe, es ist ein richtiges Erbstueck!

P.S. I love both front and back of the cushion. And they look like the sort of cushions that have a huge price tag at designer stores!

toll, dass Du die ganzen Arbeitsschritte hier zeigst. Sehr interessant zu sehen und vor allem das Ergebnis Deiner Arbeit. Wundervoll im Design und in den Farben eine Pracht.
Also das werde ich mir mit Sicherheit auch mal vornehmen zu stricken. ICh habe auch so viele Wollreste und da lohnt es sich wirklich ein Kissen draus zu stricken.
Von Deiner Kreativität bin ich immer wieder begeistert.
Ich habe übrigens die DVD "Die Perlenstickerin" vor einiger Zeit gekauft und ich bin hell auf begeistert. Hast Du in schon? Er fiel mir wieder ein, als ich eben Deine Fotos sah.

So, jetzt hast du es geschafft. Ich hab in meiner Schulzeit sehr sehr viel gestrickt. Vor allem Pullover. Die musste meine Mutter immer zusammennähen, weil ich es nicht KANN. Außerdem kann ich kein Halsbündchen aufnehmen. Nachdem ihr der Kragen geplatzt ist (ich hab superviel gestrickt damals) und sie das nicht mehr machen wollte. Habe ich nicht mehr gestrickt. Das Kissen hier hat es mir sowas von angetan! Ich bin hin und weg! Ich speichere mir schon mal das Bild ab und irgendwann... Am liebsten würde ich ja auch einmal solche Pulswärmer stricken, aber ich komme mit englischsprachigen Strickbegriffen noch gar nicht zurecht. Ich denke, ich muss das einmal in Angriff nehmen, dank dir!
